For those who don’t know (I guess just a few), January 3rd, 2009 marks the birth of Bitcoin. That’s the day when Satoshi Nakamoto mined the very first block of the Bitcoin blockchain — the Genesis Block, also known as Block 0. Inside it, Satoshi left a message taken from the British newspaper The Times: “The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.” That message wasn’t just a timestamp — it was a statement. It reflected the financial crisis of the time and symbolized the reason Bitcoin was created: to build a system that doesn’t depend on banks or governments. The project 2009-JAN-03 takes its name from that historic day, as a tribute to the origin of Bitcoin and to carry forward the same principles of freedom, transparency, and innovation — now in the BRC-20 V 2.0 era.

in 2009-JAN-03 – Official Project Discussion

Welcome to the official thread dedicated to the 2009-JAN-03 project. The goal of this space is to create a meeting point for holders, developers, and BRC-20 enthusiasts interested in the evolution of 2009-JAN-03. Here you can share ideas, technical updates, questions, and proposals about the project’s future, including its applications within the new BRC-20 and Ordinals standards. Anyone following the experiment or holding tokens is invited to participate actively: this topic aims to build a community around the project and the symbolic meaning of that date — January 3rd, 2009, the birth of Bitcoin’s first block. **#Bitcoin #BRC20 #2009-Jan-03** *@blacknode*

in 2009-JAN-03 – Official Project Discussion

Hi everyone, I’m involved in development and experimentation in the field of BRC-20 tokens. I’m currently working on a project called 2009-Jan-03, inspired by the date of Bitcoin’s first block, with the goal of exploring new logics and mechanisms for next-generation BRC-20 tokens. I’m here to exchange ideas and insights with others who are following the evolution of the Ordinals protocol and the BRC-20 standard.
